Reviews of Billie Bly

Death From Above:  3rd Full Book in the Series

5.0 out of 5 stars  Great thrilling crime novel

I have to say this is my favorite book I've read so far on my Kindle. I love a good mystery story and this one didn't disappoint.

The battle between Billie and her nemesis Ping Lau made for a great read. Add to that her quirky assistant Angel and Angel's trouble making boyfriend Chris. Billie had good relationships with her brothers who are all in law enforcement and many officials in the local town. Billie's knack at solving a mystery the FBI and other government agencies seem unable to solve, made for a good story. Linda L.

4.0 out of 5 stars  Humour and suspense.

This is my first book in this series, and I must say that Billie Bly won me. Humorous and interesting, with a plot mixing politics and technology, this is a very interesting reading.  Clau

5.0 out of 5 stars  I've lost sleep

Could not put this book down! Enjoyed every sentence from Looney Chris to the perverted Ping Lau. Loved your characters, the plot, the twists and turns of legalities and drone management. Now I need a nap. Kay Gibson

5 stars  Humorously Serious

Frequent play on words. Loved this book. Funny in serious parts but it is Billy's sense of humor when not meaning to be funny that grabs you and you have to smile. Judy

Bleeding Blue:  Book 1 in the series

In “Bleeding Blue,” Weston skillfully pens a page-turner. Private Investigator Billie Bly is one helluva, kick-butt woman. She’ll take you on a ride-along, in and out of trouble, carry you on her back; or whatever it takes to solve a case. Can’t wait for the next Billie Ply, P.I. Series.”  David DeHart, Author of Mystic Wolf.

I was sorry to come to the end of the book. It is well written and easy to read. Enjoyed the twist and turns in the story. Just when I thought I figured out who did it something happened to shift to my attention to a different character. Great story. Even if you haven’t been to Portland you can easily picture the different locations your mind. Looking forward to the next Billie Bly adventure. Nice job.  Susan.

I very much enjoyed reading this book. It has great elements of a private eye “who done it” mystery thriller. Twists and turns, rabbit trails and a couple of  things I wasn’t expecting. Nice job Don I am looking forward to the next! Russ.

The more I read the harder it was to put down. It kept my interest right up to the last page. Really enjoyed & loved the humor included. Looking forward to next book.  JoAnn H.

The Facebook Killer:  Book 2 in the series

.4.0 out of 5 stars  An enjoyable read

Don Weston's latest Billy Bly mystery is full of intertwining leads, good use of foreshadowing, and creatively overlapping characters. He wove Portland, Oregon into the scenes to create a tangible sense of location that you can just about follow with a map (or Google Streetview) as the tale progressed. I found myself engrossed in the narrative early on, and carried along through the end of the story. Not only was this an enjoyable read, but it yields an insightful moral to the story that reminds us to all to stay cautious in the Social Media Age!

5.0 out of 5 stars  Definitely worth reading.

It was a fun read. It was complicated and required the reader to pay attention to the details. Kept entertaining by being unpredictable. It was definitely worth the read!  Dave Snyder

5.0 out of 5 stars  Haunting premise.

Don Weston has written a tale of modern murder. Billy Bly, single female PI, encounters Trixie, remorseless serial killer hunting women through social media contacts. Convoluted plot and haunting premise. Unpredictable.  THS

Death Fits Like A Glove:  Short Book

Great Read. Death Fits Like A Glove hits the ground running and never lets up. Billie Bly is not your usual private investigator. She’s quirky, unconventional and tough, with a soft spot for animals and troubled little boys. She’s a character you’ll want to meet and follow along on her adventures.  Carla Deitz

What’s to say about Don Weston’s new mystery novel, Death Fits Like A Glove? Nothing, except a shout out for his latest who-done-it. I’ve enjoyed all his reads but this one is the best . . . if you love a mystery with a twist, this one is a hit from start to finish! True entertainment.  Marilyn Wallace

I honestly loved the P.I. Bly’s role and I want to learn more about her. The intensity of the chase held my attention throughout the story. What’s next for Billie Bly?  Angel sound’ fun. She could be the “Poster Child” of Portland (keeping it weird).  Jen Day

Good First Effort. Suspenseful story with interesting characters. Well paced. Some of the dialog feels a bit self-conscious. But, generally pretty good. Looking forward to seeing how he develops the characters in a full length novel.  Irish Dane

Great book. Enjoying every page. Book well done, reading about place I know makes me feel like I know the Billie Bly personally. Heart pounding.  Steve Towne

Witty, entertaining read. Lots of action packed into a short story. Can’t wait to read Weston’s next ‘Billie Bly P.I. novel.  David DeHart, Author, MYSTIC WOLF

I love books that keep me interested from start to finish. Can’t wait for Billy Bly’s next adventure.  JoAnn Hotchkiss
